6th. REUNION
Another successful night, I hope.
Our thanks to the Committee and Staff of the Longmoor Social Club for the use of their facilities again.
We would like to thank the Governor, Mr John Illingsworth for accepting our invitation and for staying for a short while on the evening, as he had prior arrangements that night
Thanks also go to Len Gurney, who once again, did a great job, giving up his time and working hard during the evening, especially under the circumstances. The new photographs are under 'PHOTOGRAPHS' - sub-directory 'REUNION 2011'.
A special thank you to Derrick Mason and everyone who was cajoled into contributing to our funds, the money collected was £32.20.
It was great to see so many who had travelled some distance to attend, and our ex-pats from Spain, for the first time. We hope their long journeys were worth their while and hopefully we will see them all again next year.
There was disappointment on the evening that there were no refreshments or a Raffle. We have had 2 offers to remedy this and we will discuss these arrangements for next year at our April meeting.
A reminder to everyone that next year, it will be on Friday, 28th. September, 2012.
